Hope「
Description[]
Hope allows Percival to draw on the hopes of others to convert the Vital Energy that surrounds them into Magical Energy for more or less versatile purposes. This Power takes the form of a greenish, "gelatinous" magical aura that can cover Percival's body either entirely or partially.
As this Power seems to encompass the Destruction, Enchantment, Shifting, and Healing-Types, and perhaps also the Search-Type[1], Pellegarde guesses that it would be a Hero-Type Power, appearing in only one in 10,000 individuals.[2]
The only drawback to this Power is that it becomes unusable if Percival's allies, whose hopes he should be drawing, are either lost or unconscious.[3]
Techniques[]
- Enchantment: Concentrating the power of his aura either in his body or a weapon, Percival is able to increase its strength.
- Enhanced Durability: Covering his body, Percival significantly reduces the damage taken from magical (and probably physical) attacks.
- Enhanced Strength: Covering his fists, Percival's physical strength increases considerably.
- Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: Percival's aura is capable of honing his nervous system, greatly increasing his speed and reaction time.[4]
- Flight: Covering his body, Percival can levitate in the air through his aura. He can also carry others by expanding his aura.
- Form Taking: His magical aura can take form of anything Percival imagines, such as a hand to hit his enemy, a blade to cut them down, or a mouth capable of absorbing magic attacks and throwing them back.
- Meteor Hand「
流星張り手 , Meteo Hando; lit. "Meteor Slap"」: Percival creates several giant hands that fall from the sky to crush the opponent.[5]
- Meteor Hand「
- Healing: Covering his body, Percival can heal injuries such as severe burns in a matter of seconds. He can also heal others and even reverse the negative effects of magic.
- Resurrection: The healing power reaches the point of being able to revive Percival, allowing him to survive fatal injuries such as his heart being pierced or his neck broken. This goes against the natural rules of magic, since magical powers always disappear with the death of the user. Percival can also revive others apart from himself as long as their souls have not yet left the world of the living.
- Magic Golem Creation: Takes the form of minimized clones of Percival. Is unclear how much control he has over these clones, but they seem capable of simple acts such as swarming Percival's enemy and they are even able to speak single words. Depending on how much hope power is gathered, the golems gain enough intelligence to say full sentences and act outside of Percival's will.[6] They seem to have considerable physical strength and are also able to heal injuries, track down things and explode causing considerable damage.
- "Zarura N'Du"「ツァルラ・ンドゥ, Tsarura Ndu」: By tapping into the hopes of all the demons in the Demon Realm, the "Mini-Percival" become able to merge into a single, life-sized duplicate of Percival who can fight for him when he is exhausted. As he is made of pure Magical Energy, he is virtually impervious to physical attacks and can even surpass Lancelot's superhuman reflexes.[7] Like the "normal" "Mini-Percival", he appears to be driven by a will of his own, but claims a "piece of their greater being".[8]
- "Nadula Gimala"「ナドゥラ・ギマラ, Nadura Gimara」: Percival uses the language of the Life Spirits to drain the vital energy out of his opponent. Apparently, against opponents that are part human, only the human part gets affected.[9] Also, it is not able to easily kill someone who trully wants to live.

Trivia[]
- This power seems to come from the Life Spirits' power of "Eternal Return", the endless cycle of life and death.
