Hi Roboartitec; I'm Amanda with FANDOM's community development team! I'm reaching out to you to see if you are interested in a wiki update: I'd like to add a twitter and discussions widget to the right rail. I also wanted to see if you were interested in turning on Discussions.
In case you are unaware of the feature, Discussions was introduced last year to help communities engage with users and fans. It lives in its own space on the wiki and allows users to interact with other members of the community. It is also mobile friendly, and gives mobile users a chance to contribute and engage with the community, and possibly turn them into wiki editors as well. You can read more about Discussions here.
For more information on migrating forums to Discussions, you can check out this blog over on Community Central that explains everything in detail.
If you have some concerns, Discussions and Forums can exist side-by-side in case you do not want to migrate just yet. However, eventually all Forums will be migrated over to Discussions, so getting ahead of the curve is never a bad idea.
Let me know what you think, and if you want to proceed I can get the ball rolling.
Ummm don't you guys have badges to this wiki??? Because in the other wiki's that I go to they have badges such as, Hi badge, 5 edit badges, 5 days badge, and more. But how come this wiki doesn't have badges?? So if you have anytime to talk to me please contact me at my message wall. User: MiraculousAnimeteam
Hello! I'm Jake, and I'm representing Fandom's Vanguard team. We're users who volunteer to help communities adopt to new technologies and features, like content portability. We've identified Yuri on Ice Wiki as a high priority for introducing the Portable Infobox tool, which has a lot of benefits for your community. Rather than get into all of the metrics and numbers (though I can present some of those if you're interested), I'll keep it simple. I'd like to reproduce as much as possible the look and feel of your desktop infoboxes in global CSS, and work to update the Infobox templates themselves so that they can be accessible on any current and future platform. Maintaining them if you want to make changes should be very simple. >If I can do this successfully for some of your most commonly used Infoboxes and present some proof of concept, can we work together to do all of them? We'd really like to get working on your community, but we would appreciate your go-ahead. Also, if you have any questions, or this is the wrong venue for this kind of a discussion, please let me know. Thanks!
Hey Jake, in case you can't find the link to your favourite Yuri on Ice Wiki, here's the link: http://yurionice.wikia.com/wiki/Yuri!!!_on_Ice_Wikia. I'm not a user there so I can't make any decisions for them. No need to thank me, a pleasure to help lads like you ;)
Gave you administrator rights Rrmcklin, good luck~
Sorry, I've literally disappeared from wikia for like 2 months. Kinda been busy and lost most of my motivation to continue working on this wiki. I have been considering retiring my admin positions, but I'll see whether I can make a return in the coming month.
Aiken, I hope you will keep your position for now, as you remain to be one of the senior and veteran users of the wiki.
